Friedrich (“Fred/Freddy”) M. von Silberberg is a Viennese born American fine art photographer based in Rancho Mirage, California. As a child he played with his father’s Agfa 35mm camera, eventually saving enough money to purchase his first camera, a Minolta SLR.
Unlike most photographers who develop a particular “genre”, Fred prefers to put his efforts toward various types of photography; from “street photos” to landscapes to abstracts. While he enjoys working in black & white, his true interest is in color photography which he prints on various media ranging from fine art photo papers to metal and acrylics. Freddy is known for his large, bold, colorful print work. As you will see in these pages, "BOLD" is what best describes Freddy's work.
Having practiced law in California for nearly four decades and having raised his three children, Freddy now devotes a significant amount of his time to photography and travel. Travel gives him the opportunity to find photography-worthy subjects in different cultures and venues. Exploring the world and showing it boldly as he sees it brings Freddy joy, and he hopes it will bring joy to his clients and viewers as well.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Freddy occasionally works as a professional model and stylist.
